About Me

Over the 20 years of my practice, in addition to my private practice, I’ve worked as the Director of Clinical Services at Access Institute in San Francisco, as an Eating Disorder Specialist at Kaiser Permanente, as a staff clinician at Beyond Hunger Eating Disorder Recovery Program in San Rafael and as a clinical supervisor for psychologists in training.
I received my PhD in Clinical Psychology in 2000 from the California Institute for Integral Studies and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Massachusetts. My clinical training was completed at Mount Zion Hospital in San Francisco.

My Approach

Over my 20 years of psychotherapy practice, I’ve found an exploratory approach to be specifically helpful. I aim to provide a safe and flexible environment where anything can be explored with words. In working with trauma, I utilize EMDR to help with emotional words from painful past experiences and IFS (Internal Family Systems) to reconcile parts of the self that are in conflict from past confusing and painful events. In this way, we can work together to find the sources of trouble in your life, understand more deeply what is meaningful to you, and make changes that reflect your insights.
